We have started a new video/photo gallery called DouglasPix at http://www.douglaspix.com . The point of this site is to feature streaming videos and digital photos of Douglasville and Douglas County events, places and people and make them available for use by the City of Douglasville, Douglas County, the Cultural Arts Council and the DC Chamber of Commerce in order to promote this area. Anyone who has pictures made around here including all of west Atlanta and west Georgia over the past few years is welcome to submit photos to go into the online galleries. We will be editing and selecting pictures using one particular criterion, whether the image or video may be useful to promote the Douglasville and Douglas County community. This is not a venue to sell your work but it is a venue to get your work recognized and get your name out there. At this point in time no money will be changing hands, but participants are certainly welcome to point to their work on-line and use it to gain paying projects. The artist/photographer/videographer should get in touch with me for more information.
