The Digital Image Group continues to amaze me in the versatility and variety of imagery and imagination that many of you present at our meetings each month! As you can see from a few attached examples shown at our April 15th meeting, there is no limit to this. There are now 3,902 pictures on-line in the DIG Galleries waiting for you to see. In addition, I have posted a new video on the front page of the Digital Image Group website at http://www.digitalimagegroup.org called “Heroes” by Joe and Bess Orenzow of Orenzow Video Productions.
Shown at our April meeting, this 25 minute video celebrates the dedication, jobs, skills and caring of the public servants here in Douglasville and Douglas County.
The next Digital Image Group meeting will be held on Thursday evening, May 20th at 6:30 p.m. at St. Julian’s here in Douglasville and you are invited! Due to the busy business season that Norma and I have been through over the past couple of months I fell behind in publishing the results of the past 2 Digital Image Group meetings. I have posted all 358 pictures and 2 videos from the February and March DIG meetings up online at these addresses:

We have a wide variety of images presented every month. In addition, don’t miss the 2 videos up on the front page of the Digital Image Group website at http://www.digitalimagegroup.org . Starting at the bottom of the page and working up, Steve Taylor has an excellent 2 minute multimedia presentation entitled NASCAR Atlanta, March 9th, 2009. What a trip . . . Turn up the volume!
Also, Angelo Muhammad’s “Gems and Jewels of Douglasville” video starring local historian Earl Albertson is quite inspiring. This video was shown last week at the Sweetwater Camera Club in our efforts to announce the creation of the “SCC Historical Image Preservation Committee” which will be instrumental in partnering with Tim Collins and the folks at Chapel Hill News & Views to publish a new quarterly magazine full of Douglasville and Douglas County historical images and stories. We will also be posting the images on-line at DouglasPix.com as the project progresses.
We hope you will find some inspiration of your own from seeing what others are doing.
