Happy Holidays, Digital Image Makers!

This Thursday evening at 6:30 p.m. you are invited to attend and participate in the 8th Digital Image Group (DIG) meeting ever in the Parish Hall on the left side of St. Julian’s Episcopal Church in Douglasville .

. . . Remember all those Christmas and Holiday pictures you have made over the past years? Feel free to bring some and share them with everyone. We usually have time for at least 15 presentations in an evening, sometimes more. One of the issues with making holiday pictures is that they are so specific to the season, most of us put them away and forget about them. Well, here’s your opportunity to show some of your favorites.

Everyone who wishes to present work is given 10 to 12 minutes of fame. Long presentations are saved for later in the evening.

The images you show don’t have to be holiday oriented—whatever you want to show is fine-- and you don’t have to bring images at all, you can just come to see what everyone else is doing. The show starts at 6:30 p.m. It isn’t necessary for you to be on time. Also, you may leave at any time, if you reach your saturation point or your attention span starts fading, go home . . .

So, if you haven’t thought about it yet, please plan to join us Thursday evening for an informative and educational digital imagery extravaganza. We had 29 people show up last month . . . so here’s a great opportunity for you to spend some time getting to know other people interested in making better visuals and take advantage of an enthusiastic audience.

Come to watch the show & demonstrations, participate in the lively discussions, and gather some of your own images to bring to show and tell, whether they be digital images for projection or prints. We will start at 6:30 and go until the last presentation has been made. You don’t have to make a presentation to enjoy the evening with us. Just come and watch.

Later today I hope to send out the meeting minutes from last month’s great meeting. It will include links to all of the photos and videos shown at the November 20th meeting as well as some technical information.

Thanks! We hope to see you Thursday!
