Hello, Digital Image Group members and friends,

Tomorrow, Saturday, September 27th, from 1 p.m. until approximately 5:30 Susan Morris, our assistant Ambassador for the Digital Image Group will be on hand at the DIG booth at the September Saturdays Festival in front of the Douglas County Courthouse. If you get a chance to come by, you can’t miss our canopy and banner. We will have at least 4 chairs in our tent, so come by and chat a while as we get the word out to the community about DIG.

Our purpose this year is to gain name recognition and encourage aspiring and practicing photographers, videographers and graphic designers with digital cameras, digital video cameras and computer graphics equipment to come join us in this great educational experiment we call the Digital Image Group. This group is for all ages and for beginners as well as seasoned professional. Its purpose is to educate as well as celebrate the digital visual arts.

Speaking of practicing videography, please turn your speakers on and go view http://www.douglaspix.com where I have been uploading some digital videos from last week’s rock concert on O’Neal Plaza. If it doesn’t play well for you let me know. I will be uploading a lower resolution version later this week.

For those of you who are in the Sweetwater Camera Club who are also DIG members, please come make pictures at the festival as part of the SCC September Field Trip, and then stop by the booth and chat, or help us out by hanging out at the booth for a little while. Susan says she will be there the entire time, but could use a break once in a while . . .

The theme of the festival tomorrow is Musical Performances by a wide variety of groups. You can find out more at http://tinyurl.com/3pyowk

We would like to thank Gene and Caprice Spicer of Cartridge World- Lithia Springs for providing the Booth space, the Douglas County Chamber of Commerce for providing the canopy, Walter Wills and Lois Volper for getting us set up for the show two weeks ago and The Great Frame Up on Highway 5 for printing our banner.

We hope to see you there! Make some digital images . . .
